Local OrganicKs believes that wholesome nutrition starts with each seed. Understanding where food comes from and how it is produced has become more of an art with the big agricultural giants. We believe that locally sourced foods and urban agriculture is the key to a healthier, more sustainable future. Local OrganicKs aims to eliminate to anonymity of food. We deserve nothing less than nutritious produce, so we take passion in each garden we create. Providing you with local, organic foods grows a happier, healthier life.
THE FARMERS
NICHOLAS TAYLOR
Nick's passion for locally sourced produce comes from his native Florida roots. He has had an extensive education in aquaculture, hydroponics, native landscaping and livestock. During his five years in the Coast Guard, Nick was stationed on the island of Oahu, Hawaii where we volunteered with local farmers and practiced aquaponics and organic practices for two years. Nick was then re-stationed in Los Angeles for two years where he volunteered at local urban farms. He has been practicing agriculture for six years. Nick brought his knowledge back to Florida with the idea for Local OrganicKs and has been creating edible gardens and native landscapes since 2015.
ELLA DONAHO
Ella has been living in Florida for 17 years. She was awarded her Bachelors degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment from the University of Florida which provided her with knowledge in urban agriculture, landscape architecture, urban planning, green infrastructure and sustainability practices. She has been practicing urban agriculture for two years with work on green roofs, green walls, and in-ground produce. She joined Local OrganicKs to provide others with the ability to locally produce their own food and also have a reliable local source of nutritious food.
